Fence installation

A properly installed fence can improve privacy, security and the appearance of your garden while creating a strong and clearly defined boundary.

Why it matters

Correct installation helps keep fencing straight, secure and stable while reducing unnecessary movement during strong winds and changing weather.

Signs you may need this

Missing boundaries, badly deteriorated fencing, damaged sections beyond repair or a garden that needs improved privacy and security.

Our approach

We measure the area, prepare the fence line and install suitable posts, panels and fittings with attention to strength, alignment and a clean finish.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Fencing FAQs

Helpful answers to common questions about fence repairs, replacement panels, new fencing and general fencing work.

Can you repair a fence instead of replacing the whole thing?

Yes. If most of the fencing is still in good condition, damaged panels, posts or individual sections can often be repaired or replaced without installing an entirely new fence.

Can you replace just one damaged fence panel?

Yes. We can replace individual damaged or broken fence panels where the existing posts and surrounding fencing are suitable to remain in place.

Do you replace broken or rotten fence posts?

Yes. Loose, damaged or rotten fence posts can be replaced individually when appropriate. We can also check the surrounding posts to identify any other obvious problems.

Do you repair fences damaged by strong winds or storms?

Yes. Storm damage is a common reason for fencing repairs. Depending on the condition of the fence, it may only require replacement panels, posts or repairs to a damaged section.

What types of garden fencing can you install?

We can install a range of common residential fencing, including timber fence panels, closeboard and feather-edge fencing, along with timber or concrete posts depending on the requirements of the property.

Can you install concrete fence posts and gravel boards?

Yes. Concrete posts and gravel boards can provide a durable alternative to traditional timber posts and help keep timber fence panels away from direct ground contact.

Do you remove the old fencing?

Old fencing can be removed as part of the work when this is included in the agreed job. Removal and disposal can be discussed when we assess the fencing and provide your quotation.

How much does fencing repair or replacement cost?

The cost depends on the length and type of fencing, the number and type of posts required, access to the property and whether existing fencing needs to be removed. Our online calculator can give you an initial estimated price before you contact us.
