A Busy Week for RidgeOak – Repointing & Chimney Repairs in Stevenage

It’s been another busy week for the RidgeOak Property Maintenance team, with one of our latest projects taking us to Stevenage, Hertfordshire, where we carried out exterior brickwork repointing alongside repairs to a chimney.

Over time, weather exposure can cause the mortar between bricks to deteriorate, crack and begin to fall away. Apart from affecting the appearance of a property, damaged mortar can allow moisture to penetrate the brickwork and may eventually lead to further deterioration.

For this Stevenage property, we removed areas of deteriorated mortar and carefully repointed the brickwork, restoring the joints and giving the exterior a cleaner, more consistent finish.

Where necessary, damaged areas of the brickwork were also repaired to help protect the property from further weather damage.

The project also included repairs to the property’s chimney.

We repaired the affected areas and repointed the chimney where required, helping to restore the structure and improve its protection against the elements.
